Meet Our Personal Trainer Team
We have a very experienced personal training staff that is dedicated to your success. That means we will take the time to find a personal trainer who fits you. Your certified personal trainer will tailor training to your unique fitness goals, accelerating you on your path to fitness. We want you to succeed in whatever your fitness goals may be and welcome any suggestions or comments that you may have!
JOE
Joe began his journey in the health and fitness industry in 1986 because of his life challenges, which later became a passion for a healthier lifestyle. He worked for Shell Oil for 30 years and is now retired and ready for the next chapter in his life! He is currently Houston Gym’s AFAA-certified group exercise program director, where he manages over 65 group exercise programs and 16 certified instructors. He is an international aerobics competitor with a 2004 gold medal, as well as a national aerobics competitor from 2004 to 2006 with gold, silver, and bronze medals. In 2008, he placed 4th in his first international bodybuilding completion in Amsterdam.
ALDRIC
Aldric was once a whopping 432 lbs. Over his adult years, Aldric lost over 200 lbs using his workout ethic and knowledge of nutrition. Not only does Alric now specialize in weight loss management, but has the gumption, tenacity, and personality to keep you motivated in your fitness journey. His personalized fitness routines have helped numerous clients and he wants you to be his next success story.
ALEX
Alex is a man of many accomplishments, he was once a behemoth in stature, weighing 355 lbs about 3 years ago. Since then, Alex has leaned down for bodybuilding competitions and gained fitness knowledge while training at Houston Gym. As of now, he inspires others as a personal trainer to accomplish their strength and conditioning goals like he has done and is willing to work with whatever his client's personal fitness goals may be.
ERIC
Eric Metz is a certified trainer. Before his training career, Eric had hands-on experience at T3 Performance. He was mentored by Ryan Richmond and his staff at T3. During his experience, Eric led group training for athletes, led sports teams himself at Rocky River High School, and helped assisted camps for football. Eric also received hands-on experience at Berea Midpark High School. There he was mentored by Kyle Dickinson and the staff. During his experience, Eric has helped assist with strength and conditioning for every sport, led groups on his own, and helped one on one athletes with injuries. Eric is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. Eric went on to college at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio to advance his knowledge and experience in Exercise Science. Eric also played football earning a 3-year varsity letter. As a trainer, Eric is able to assist with rehab and return to competition. His mission is to help individuals who are stagnant and have the urge to conquer their fitness journey.
DAVID
David Tarté is a man of diverse accomplishments. He was exposed to the transformative power of fitness during his time as a French hornist at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. Chronic back pain and shoulder dysfunction prompted him to find solutions to fixing all types of pain - solutions which he now shares with his clients. What started as a way to mitigate pain became an obsession with not only building strength, but building the ultimate natural physique. Through modern and versatile training styles combined with science-backed training methods, David helps his clients build muscle, lose body fat, and reach the physique of their dreams. In addition to muscle building and injury prevention, David also specializes in balance work and enjoys working with elderly clients. David’s versatility allows him to cater to whatever your personal fitness goals may be. Don’t hesitate to reach out!
AMBER
As an experienced trainer, I specialize in muscle gaining, fat shredding and rehabilitation exercises. I create customized programs using new and old, but still effective, exercises to help each client achieve their goals.

I’m an electrical engineer and professional trainer who loves pushing the very boundaries of what we know to be possible. I studied abroad while working full-time, competed and won in nationals for power lifting, kickboxing, and karate. I am planning to now set the path for international competition. My clients should strive to be happy, healthy, aesthetic, and strong. And my job is to provide you with the guidance and environment necessary for those very goals.
